Fest occurred. Records occurred. Festluenza occurred and is still lingering with me. I got a lot of SHORES time, though I only got to see them one of the three times they played, during the day, behind our building! Yeah!

To recap, all of this stuff came out already:
SHORES "Coup de Grace" LP/CD
THE MEASURE [sa] "Notes" LP/CD (The bonus 7" is long gone)
HOT WATER MUSIC "Live in Chicago #4" 7" (get them before they are gone)
NIGHTBRINGER 7" (High Anxiety)
THE HOLY MOUNTAIN "Here is No Exit" PICTURE DISC LP
WHISKEY & Co. "Rust Colors" LP/CD
SAMIAM "Orphan Works" 2xLP/CD
TWELVE HOUR TURN "The Victory of Flight" LP
TWELVE HOUR TURN / I HATE MYSELF LP

HAWKS AND DOVES • LP/CD
Mastering? Mastering. Yeah. Like a snail, but twice as tasty!

STARVATION • "Armed Against the Forces" 6"
Got the tests, the art is on the list. Coming together.

AMERICAN CHEESEBURGER / WORLDS • split 6"
Same deal as last time: Got the ref; spinach wants to remix the Worlds side. Holding pattern commence! Hopefully out before THE FEST 9, but given AC's luck with splits, it will be out for THE FEST 12.

#2 Reason To Move To Gainesville • LP
I think this one is never actually going to happen. Maybe?

I HATE MYSELF • "Fifteen Songs" CD collection
My bad. It is happening. Oh yeah, Jon, did that text file ever open for you? Did it?
-- It did. Now it's my turn. --

TWELVE HOUR TURN • "The Expense of Flight" CD collection
See above. Out in a month of a year. This has assimilated "The Victory of Flight" and is now a nano-humanoid 82 minute CD or something.

TWELVE HOUR TURN • "Perfect Progress..." LP
We tried to get more of these made too, but the metal mothers are bad. Maybe someday?

THE SWARM a/k/a Knee Deep in Catsup • LP collection #1 • LP collection #2
Same blurb as last time:Colohan handed me the ancient masters when Burning Love was in town. Not kidding. Now we have to hash out the art. 10 years on...

ANDREW JACKSON JIHAD / O PIONEERS • split thing
Got mastered. New art looks great. Will have tests later this month.

J CHURCH • "Open Road (The Allied Years)" 2xCD collection
Really, this should be a 4xLP. Probably.

THE BLACKTOP CADENCE • EP
The ref sounds AMAZING. I figure we'll re-press the old LP at the same time. Why not?

HOT WATER MUSIC • "Live in Chicago #5" 7"
After we got the masters, we realized it was WAY too long to fit on a 7". Back to the drawing board!

CHEAP GIRLS / LEMURIA • "split" 7"
Three songs total. Tell me you are not a Lemur! Should have tests this month!

SMALL BROWN BIKE • "t/b/a" LP/CD
Yes. They recorded an LP with J Robbins. Two great odors that smell potent together. 2011 ahoy!

I am surely forgetting a few things... or blatantly withholding crucial info to make you twitchy!

-- AMPERE just finished recording an LP!
-- ASSHOLEPARADE is going to Japan in six or seven months.
-- SHORES "To Volstead" is going to be a great follow up to "Coup de Grace". I can't believe their second album is already recorded!

make the HWM live #5 an 8" record, I don't think I have any of those.

I've got 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 12, and a couple funny shaped ones. No 11 or 8.

Nope. It may or may not happen, eventually.

Then do an 8" in a 7" jacket, sure, it'll look stupid, but whatever no one will care.

we need to coordinate things for this release, I'm still planning on doing the cassette version, I have the artwork 90% set too.

Call me? Email me? Smoke signals? Yes.

Braille communication via snail mail?

Yeah, still hashing a couple details. When I have tests, I think it will be safe to set a pretend release date, if not an actual one.

The ref sounds AMAZING. I figure we'll re-press the old LP at the same time. Why not?

For what it's worth, I would love for the blacktop cadence ep to be made available on CD. I know there has been a lot of discussion regarding download codes, but my preference is for CDs. I would be willing to pay more to get a CD (I know, I know, I'm committed to a dying medium). And yep, I'm twitchy about this release. So much anticipation and so many questions.

There has been talk of adding the songs to the end of the "Chemistry" CD when those run out. We'll see!

Your not the only one Wolfie.... i'm still a little bummed that the new Fiya & Shores records (which i just ordered) only came out on LP.

I know it might come down to a $ thing for NIR, but there are some of us who still prefer CDs if that helps justify smaller runs for future NIR releases :| .

The smallest CD run we can do is 1,000. 500 costs the same to make, total. No savings. I considered making the FIYA LP an LP+CD, but really, I did not want to add an extra $1 to the cost. Rather keep it cheap. The band did not really care or want a CD... and they are not touring, so... no incentive at all. I have considered doing 100-runs of CDs just burning them and laser-printing covers, but I have a hard time finding the time to do what we already do, as it is.

Also, for bands that become more active later on, we will likely do something like put two LPs together on one CD. We might do that later on with SHORES. Perhaps. I generally prefer the aesthetic of albums being separate, but at the same time discographies can be icebox too.
