Damn, and the gf complains about my records. I certainly don't have anywhere near the collection you do! I absolutely love the shelving.

thanx dude! building the shelves only took about 2.5 hours. it was the weeks & weeks of sanding/staining em that took forever.

Did you sand these by hand with a sanding block? If so... yikes! That would take many moons... ha!

These are similar to, but much nicer than, some shelves we built in 1995. We still use the shelves, only they hold shirts now instead of LPs. We had to install center supports to hold LPs... and there was the time a row of them fell over like dominoes! Ahhh... that was exciting!

i did the rough sanding (120 grit or so) with a power sander. after that, all the fine sanding i did by hand with a block.
i built 8 of these shelves. they are 3/4in. plywood. thankfully, my dad helped me with the routing of the side pieces. i also had some design tips from my uncle. the actual shelves are held together with gorilla glue & 3in. pneumatically driven staples. they are solid. :guitar:

I love your shelves, is there anyway you have some sort blueprints, or at least measurements for them. I really want to upgrade to those. any help would be awesome.
Thanx,
