Q: Is using my credit card at No Idea Records secure?
A: Yes! No Idea uses Secure Socket Layer technology, one of the most robust encryption platforms available. Your credit card information will be encrypted from the moment you enter it until your transaction is processed. We do NOT store your credit card number in our databases.
Q: Can I still order without using the shopping cart?
A: Of course! Just click here for ordering details and the postage calculator.
Q: Can I still order by phone or fax?
A: Yes! To order by fax, just send your order and all pertinent info to: (352) 375-9041!
To order by phone, just give us a call at (352) 379-0502! (However, bear in mind that it might be more difficult to catch Matt this way; the best time to call would be between 10 am and 6 pm Eastern Standard Time, Monday-Friday)
Q: I have a really old credit slip. Can I still use it?
A: Yes! Your credit slip has no expiration date... it's valid forever!
Q: How long will it take my order to get to me?
A: We pack and ship orders Monday through Friday, except for Postal holidays! Please remember that if you place your order over a weekend (or even late on a Friday), we won't be able to do anything with it until the following Monday, at the earliest.
Remember! These only apply to how fast your order will get to you once we ship it.
USA ORDERS:
PRIORITY MAIL is faster but more expensive, and should take 2 - 4 days for delivery once we mail the order.
STANDARD MAIL is cheaper but slower, and can take a week or more to arrive once mailed.
(**PLEASE NOTE: Choosing Priority Mail does not mean that your order will be PROCESSED faster! We fill orders based on the date that we receive them, so asking for Priority Mail does not mean your order will jump to the front of the line... it just means the package will GET to you faster once it's mailed).
Most USA orders should arrive in approximately 2 weeks (or less), so please try to wait a reasonable
amount of time before contacting us to check on the status of your order... thanks!
INTERNATIONAL ORDERS:
Most INTERNATIONAL orders should arrive in approximately 3 weeks, so please try to wait a reasonable
amount of time before contacting us to check on the status of your order... thanks!
Q: It's been a really long time and I haven't recieved my order yet!
A: If you have not received your order and it has been a really long time, check here to see if it was returned to us.
Q: Can I download No Idea albums?
A: You can download a lot of our stuff now. We far prefer that you buy the "actual" record or CD, as opposed to a "virtual" album. It's cheaper to get the real deal, plus we put a lot of care into the art and lyrics that come with our records and we'd like you to be able to sit and read along, look at the paintings and photos, etc. So, that said, if you would rather buy a download, you can do so at tons of places, including: http://www.itunes.com, amazon, emusic
Q: I have a store/distro... how can I buy your stuff at wholesale rates?
A: Just e-mail jennifer@noidearecords.com and we'll hook you up with a wholesale catalog and ordering details!
Q: I work at a radio station... will you send promos for my show?
A: Sure thing, just e-mail radio@noidearecords.com with your station information (and playlists, if you have them) and he'll add you to the promo list.
Q: Where can I get records pressed? How do I make records? Where can I learn about this stuff?
A: We use several places to make our records, CDs, and printed parts. Here are some of them. We will update this page as we find a moment. Today is September 22, 2011:
IMPRINT makes nearly all of our 7", CD, full-color labels, and inserts. They also get CDs pressed for us and can get LP Jackets for you too: http://www.iloveimprint.com
HAMLETT PRINTING makes a lot of labels for us, especially silver ink and spot-colors: http://www.hamlettprinting.com
AESTHETIC PRINT AND DESIGN prints our shirts and screen-printed covers/posters: http://www.aestheticprint.com
LUCKY LACQUERS cuts the lacquers for our record. This site is also a good resource for info on pressing plants, etc: http://www.luckylacquers.com
We work with these pressing plants for records. There are several other plants that are very good too:
United Record Pressing in Nashville (http://www.urpressing.com)
Musicol in Ohio (http://www.musicolrecording.com/vinyl)
A&R in Texas (http://www.arrecords.com)
When we are in need of additional mastering (after a record is mixed), we send lots and lots of noise to our friend Derron Nuhfer at Sarlacc:

We have also worked with Carl Saff several times in the last couple years and his work is both good and affordable: http://www.saffmastering.com
