I just discovered this shite and think it's pretty icebox. If you like data, numbers, and charts anywhere near as much as me, you should get one too. Post your profiles! Epic nerd-off! http://www.last.fm/user/long_knives

yeah it's been around for awhile, was before pandora as kind of a way to "predict" new music to listen to - would track what you play in itunes etc - then you could have it compare to what other people listen to, find 'matches' then suggest bands that they listen to that you don't and so forth. like sharing your itunes play counts and crap. i tried it, but it just used bandwidth and took up space. i deleted it shortly thereafter

These days I barely use iTunes or my iPod, and I also tend to listen to whole albums, instead of indvidual songs.
but tonight while studying, i did put my iTunes on shuffle, and heard stuff like this-
Johnny Paycheck The Mekons Elvis Costello Nick Cave Empire Madness Said Radio Destroyer The Dirtbombs Steve Earle The Polysics Pere Ubu
now I have to go to bed.

Are you trying to hijack this thread Philip...haha
This is about Last.fm not itunes. Otherwise, I'd have posted here.
