mclz wrote: What's the in, Var? GOOD CALL! I accept your moniker... and your challenge! Chris WOLLARD just dropped by to pick up his Buccaneers coffee mug, borrowing an amp from Tubers and then off to the studio. I cannot wait for the new SHIP THIEVES album to be finished. I expect it will be out this summer. YEAAAH! He is flying to Australia with Addison for an acoustic tour with Tim Barry... and more. BRIDGE AND TUNNEL are talking about recording in May with J Robbins. Brad of DEAR LANDLORD infamy stole my credit card to get himself and the boys across the ocean to mama Europe. Zack is now a full-timer in DL. Looks like the plan is to record an album sometime mid-to-late summer... and have it out for THE FEST 10. This is very loose in terms of dates, but we can all dream, right? I still kick their record frequently... and sometimes I even listen to it! I'm listening to some demos by THE BOMB for a possible future project. More on that later. Their upcoming 11" is brilliant, of course... and the reference lacquers sound GRRREAT! Also spinning today are the Refs for SMALL BROWN BIKE. Beware forthcoming nerd extravaganza! I don't think it will be TOO overblown, but I think you will be pleased. Elegant in execution, perhaps? Supposedly (the Wrath of) Kahn left an art disc around here somewhere for HAWKS AND DOVES, but I have not found it as of yet. He is better at hiding these things than I thought! KAAAAAAHHHHHNNN!! STARVATION... nearly done! Really! AJJ / OP... so close! The covers have been here for a couple weeks already! Nerd alert! 'Nuff said! CHEAP LEMURIA... in the mail this weeks to pop nerds worldwide! Oh boy, is this a neat record! I'm purty happy with it! (First person to post the obvious reference wins something special.) As per request, we decided to make some of the new re-pressings SPECIAL. Case in point, "Hardback". Yeah? I am still struck by how well these turned out. More in this vein to come... stay posted! THE HOLY MOUNTAIN claim to be writing the follow-up album to "Entrails". !!! CHAOS IN TEJAS looks great, again. Big ups to Timmy. I am planning to make a couple special versions / records for CIT this year. Not sure what they will all be, but... they WILL be something! Gotta pay for all the earplugs I'm gonna need somehow, haha!

J. Robbins is easily one of my favorite producer/engineer dudes. The fact he did the new SBB and may be doing the new Bridge and Tunnel is beyond exciting!

I like World Burns To Death and Billie Holiday. Who wants to start a band?
In a perfect world, it would be:
Me, obviously - vox / maybe very bad guitar ideas John Massel - drums Dave Hall - guitar Alex Ulloa- guitar / vox Chris Norris - attitude / guitar / vox / porn
I suppose we'd trade off on bass duties.
